Andrew Sanderbeck is the past Chair for Small and Rural Libraries SIG group for the Florida Library Association. As an advocate for libraries, Andrew brings in speakers for FLA’s conferences and shares information with the Small and Rural library members on Fundraising and Advocacy. He will give two presentations at the 2007 Conference in Orlando.

Organization: Virginia Library Association

VLA has purchased six separate Revenues Streams for Libraries Modules at their annual conference in 2004.

Organization: Utah Library Association

The Utah Library Association purchased a pre-conference workshop for their 2005 Conference and has purchased two additional workshops on Customer Service for their 2007 conference in Provo, Utah.

Organization: Putnam County Library System

Sanderbeck was hired give new library managers and supervisors training and coaching to help them serve their community and library patrons more effectively. The program, which features modules written and presented by Sanderbeck has been renewed for 2007.

Organization: Southeast Florida Library Network

The Southeast Florida Library Network has hosted Sanderbeck on multiple occasions covering a wealth of topics, including Fundraising. Lucia says “If I had the budget to bring Andrew in 6 times a year to do his Management and Leadership Skills for First-Timers Workshop, I would fill it every time.” In 2006 – 2007 Andrew is working with the Management team of SEFLIN as a consultant to assist them in the formation of their new management team and change management issues including the physical move of the organization to a new location.

Organization: California State Library “Infopeople Project”

Sanderbeck created a program for Infopeople call “The Basics of Fundraising” which he facilitated at six locations throughout California. Andrew has agreed to create another program for the Eureka! Leadership Series on “Leaders and their Teams”. He will present this workshop seven times at various California locations in 2006-2007.

Organization: Northeast Florida Library Network

Sanderbeck was the Keynote Speaker for NEFLIN’s annual membership meeting and has presented for their members on multiple occasions over the past three years on programs including “Emotional Customer Service and Hire Right the First Time”.

Organization: Tampa Bay Library Consortium

Sanderbeck was hired to train the new management team at TBLC with a series of three workshops on HR, Leadership and Management and Team Building Skills as their organization continues to grow. Andrew’s work with the management team will continue in 2007 in the role of a consultant and coach. Andrew was the Keynote Speaker at TBLC’s VIP Day in 2006 and has presented more than ten workshops for their members over the past four years.

Organization: Panhandle Library Access Network

Sanderbeck has been hired to present three programs for the members of PLAN in 2006 including a customized program for one of its clients, the West Florida Public Library of Pensacola. PLAN has purchased additional presentations in 2007 for its members.

Organization: Northern Ohio Regional Library System

Sanderbeck has been hired to present five programs for NEO-RLS’s members at various locations in northeast Ohio in 2005 and 2006 on topics including Fundraising and Customer Service. Andrew has been hired for two additional presentations in February of 2007 on Human Resource Basics.

Organization: Northwest Regional Library System

Sanderbeck has been hired to present three programs for NORWELD’s members at their headquarters in Bowling Green, Ohio, on Fundraising and Management Skills. Sanderbeck will present additional programs for NORWELD in 2007.

Organization: St. Petersburg Public Library System

The St. Petersburg Public Library System purchased two workshops and staff development day presentations for their management and staff. Sanderbeck introduced them to other sources of revenues – including Better World Books to help them with budget cuts and losses of funding.

Organization: Hillsborough County/Tampa Public Libraries West Gate Regional Library

The Tampa Public Libraries West Gate Regional Library has purchased three workshops for their patrons on specific skills including “job hunting” and “networking” as a part of their Friends Group advocacy in the community programs.

Organization: Miami-Dade College

Sanderbeck was retained as the afternoon keynote presenter for the 2006 MDC Conference Day. Andrew presented on Emotional Customer Service for the library employees of all six campuses of Miami Dade College. Miami-Dade College also purchased two concurrent sessions form Andrew on First Class Communications and Steps to Being a Respected Leader.

Sanderbeck was retained as the keynote speaker for the 2006 Staff Development Presentation on the topic of Customer Service. Andrew will be presenting Customer Service Training Modules for LPLS in 2007.
